A slow but sure recovery is occurring in Iowa and our Nation. It is important to affirm our common purpose of promoting a modern four-lane highway through Iowa for improved public safety and economic growth. An improved U. S. Highway 30, will provide new opportunities in every community for economic development, quality new jobs, job retention and expansion of existing business, and major new investment by industry. Working together with Iowa's Department of Transportation, we have formed a partnership to meet Iowa's ever changing transportation needs today and to plan for the needs of Iowa's future.
The IDOT Commission has set as one of it's priorities to complete the 4 lane road between Ames and Clinton.We are committed to improving this highway across the State of Iowa, and we invite you to join our coalition. You can help members of the coalition by contacting members of the Iowa Department of Transportation Commission expressing your concerns and wishes for an improved U.S. Highway 30. (See website listings.) You may also express your feelings regarding the Highway 30 project to Governor Chester Culver and members of the Iowa Legislature.A letter to U. S. Representatives Braley, Boswell, King, Latham and Loebsack; and to Senators Grassley and Harkin telling them of the importance of this 4-lane corridor to the State of Iowa and asking them to work to secure funds for this corridor would be appreciated.
Finally, we invite you to join our coalition and become an active member. Our membership information is listed on this web site. Timely commitment, construction and completion of a 4-Lane U. S. Highway 30 across Iowa will be the 21st Century Life Blood to all concerned. We hope you will help continue and expand the partnership efforts by financially supporting the coalition's goal to complete the four lanes for U. S. Highway 30 in Iowa from Ames to Clinton.
